The 2025 Acura MDX has been refreshed inside and out. Key details are as follows:
The restyled front fascia has a sleek new Diamond Pentagon grille and new paint colors, and the updated, darkened JewelEye LED headlights have also been updated. New wheel designs include machined 21-inch split-spoke alloys on the Type S trim level. Type S model upgrades, such as a frameless grille for increased airflow. All versions of the 2025 MDX now come with a new 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen featuring Google built-in services as standard, a redesigned wireless charging pad, and USB-C ports. Additionally, new upholstery options, like curvilinear-quilted Milano leather, are included.
Upgraded sound system options, ranging from an 11-speaker system as standard to a state-of-the-art 31-speaker Bang & Olufsen® system on the highest trim. Higher trim models introduce new 16-way Milano leather front seats with nine-way massage and curvilinear quilting. Technology trim and higher models receive an upgraded noise-insulation package, making the 2025 Acura MDX cabin 10% quieter than the 2024 model. – Enhanced, next-generation AcuraLink package with Wi-Fi hotspot capability and a rear seatbelt reminder system are standard on all trim levels.
This is the most capable and protective MDX yet, and the following standard AcuraWatch safety features help make it so:
The 2025 Acura MDX also introduces an all-new AcuraWatch 360 package with even more advanced capabilities, such as radar on all corners of the vehicle and a long-range radar system in the front.
Think of it like an earth-bound fighter jet that uses its powerful radar system to detect hazards on the road rather than enemies in the sky. The AcuraWatch 360 package is standard on the 2025 Acura MDX Type S with Advance Package. It includes everything seen in the standard AcuraWatch suite, plus the following additions:
The 2025 Acura MDX Type S retains the 3.0-liter turbocharged V-6 engine with 355 horsepower. Likewise, all other MDX trims have the same 290-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 as last year. When tested by Car and Driver, the standard 2025 Acura MDX engine resulted in a vigorous 6.4-second 0-60 mph time, while the Type S turned it up a notch with a 5.5-second 0-60 time.1
The official 2025 Acura MDX MPG ratings have yet to be announced. However, the 2024 model delivered up to an EPA-estimated 19/26/22 MPG (City/Highway), and we expect similar specs for the 2025 model.
The 2025 Acura MDX’s exterior dimensions are the same as last year’s, with the only exception being a 0.3-inch more comprehensive body measurement. Interior measurements are similar. Passenger volume and cargo room remain the same: a maximum of 139.1 cubic feet and 95 cubic feet, respectively.
